"Every year there is a lantern procession through our local town of Stony Stratford to mark the Christmas lights being switched on. This year's theme is 'cartoon Christmas' which we extnded to 'animated Christmas'. My six year-old daughter came up with the idea for a Sprocket Rocket lantern with a festive W&G and here is the result. The lantern procession is on the 26th of November and we're looking forward to lighting this rocket up!"

Hi Kirsten, thank you very much for your kind comment.

The framework took about two hours and the papering took a further two, it was a real family effort to get the lantern finished.

I'll send you a picture when we light it at the end of the month. I think it's going to look great when it's illuminated but I'm a little bit worried about cross winds, with those fins on the rocket it might well take off!
