Hi Harry
Not sure if this will be removed by the moderators but my MSN is Sophs28@hotmail.co.uk
The blocks are not bad size, its suprising how much u can make out of them, they're about 5cm by 3cm by 1.5cm deep.
PC Mac is one of my more recent models and one of my better ones. But the more I practise the better I can do. I do quite realistic models of birds in 2D which i've found look great on cards.
Alex from Madagascar was quite tricky but Melman and Marty were quite a challenge too and took a few attempts to get right, still after many hours I think I did a decent job.
I started playing with dough, clay and plasticine when i was 2, before i could write my name i was making little models. I also used soap for a while just for fun which drove mum mad because i ruined all the soap in the bathroom by breaking chunks off it to make into little "soap men" while i sat in the bath.
Its been a more serious hobby since I was about 7, so i've been doing it seriously for about ten years.
I wasnt good at the start, its all come with patience and practise, lots and lots of practise. Many models get squashed if their not quite right and I start again, its frustrating but its just part of the learning process, you soon get to know what works and what leads to a complete disaster.
My clay Mate designs are scattered through all the sections, theres about 50 - 60 of my designs in production at the moment. They're a lot simpler to make and take less time, its been a nice thing to be involved with but I'm always on the look out for bigger and better things.
I can give you some of the names of my clay mate designs if you like although sometimes they change the name i provide for various reasons.
Hope to talk to you more, always keen to talk to someone who shares my passion for model making.
Keep it up, never give in, no character is ever too hard if you really want to do it , you will do
