It's clear that "Thingummy" is a Joey. Make him hop!

A joey? I hadn't thought of that. I thought more some of weird thing... but how can you make him hop? I mean, as its stop motion, how can you take a picture of him in the air? I'll puzzle on it.

The ears,the tail,It's sooo obvious. You should call him "Joey". To make him hop,It's a matter of Heal and toe. It's an illusion created by standing him on his tippy toes for one frame and bringing his heals down for the next and on and on like that. It's simple.

Oh,and you need to make his hips bigger like Kangaroo hips are suposed to be,put on more Plasticine.

I have a great idea on how to make him hop. Use very thin string (fishing wire) to hoist him up in the air for a couple of frames. (I use this method in my films). It can be a bit tricky but you need to be patient. The results are great.

Okay... thanks for that. But I really don't think he looks like a joey. I live in Australia (horrible, I know..) and I see joeys every day and he doesn't look like one at all. Thanks for the ideas on how to hop, though. But wouldn't he swing from side to side and make it really glitchy? Ah well, this one already is anyway.

On second though,he could be some kind of Bandicoot or Alien. You know,what you could do it buy a bear from http://www.buildabear.com and color the cub condo box with crayola crayons and punch out the door and have that as the joey's house instead of that flimsy thing you've been using. He could walk in an out of that door,and It'd be alot sturider too. But where,oh where is mummy Kanagaroo?

I haven't done any animating in ages, I need more plasticine and I want to make some proper sets and all that jazz. I did make one but it's all shaky and all that jazz. On second thoughts, I'll do the voices and put it on now!! Yay!! Thingummy and the Shape-Changing Blob, Part One!!!! Now I just have to find the disk it's on,,,
