"Gromit lovingly presents Fluffles with a heart-shaped loaf of bread with their faces sculpted out of the dough (detail cannot be seen in this photo). Both figures and all loaves of bread are sculpted from polymer clay by me. I made the oven and bread racks from cardboard and the oven mitts are from fabric. "

OMG, Gromit and Fluffles look SOOOO precious together...you can just feel the "loaf"( LOVE!!!) Well done on your attentiuon to detail and sculpting, I CAN actually make out their two images on the bread that he's made for Fluffles!GOOD JOB!!!

Debbie Doll Jul 27th 2009 11:35am

I meant ATTENTION to detail....not attentiuon, LOL!!! I guess I need to pay more attention to my TYPING and SPELLING! ;)

That's pretty good. You definately have great potential. Are you thinking of taking animation as a career later?:)

Thank you all :) Yes, it is what I hope to do one day once I have finished school! I enjoy things like this a lot :)

You've got to check out her Shaun the Sheep baa-nd characters too!! This kid rocks! (I am biased...)!!!>:-)

Also, have you used beads as eyes? All you do is paint the pupil on the bead and it maked a perfect eye so you don't have to mess with balls of clay. That's what Aardman does for their characters. If you notice, their eyes shine because they use beads. That's what I use for my characters just like my avatar picture.

Also, sorry, I was wondering how you made the fur texture on fuffles.

cavor Jul 27th 2009 4:44pm

Nice details:D

Laurenllama Jul 28th 2009 12:37am

No, I've used balls of clay :-| I will definately have to try the bead thing soon! Thanks! :) For the fur on Fluffles I cut up some knitting yarn very finely into flocking and stuck it onto her body after she had been baked 8)

have you changed account?

Laurenllama Jul 29th 2009 2:59pm

No, I haven't changed accounts. I unthinkingly typed that reply on another family member's computer, who is also a member, and didn't check if I was logged in to my account. And appreciated is of course spelt APPRECIATED, not appreceitiated Sorry for the confusion!

Gromit lad Jul 29th 2009 7:11pm

It's almost all about perfection. And craftsmanship. And heres a great example!
