Does anyone know of any good webcams for animation like ones with manual focus and a screw mount? Or is there any good way to keep a webcam still?

Webcams aren't the best idea! Use a mini-dv camcorder! http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/554202/art/samsung/vp-d371w-minidv-camcorder.html

Wow very cheap.

I use a vivatar still camera but you can use it for webcam as well. to do my animation i plug it in and turn it to webcam mode. then i use monkey jam animation software to animate is. It is a good camera and only costs £40;)

the unibrain fire-i is supposed to be the best in tests, stopmotion pro are using it in tests and have told me that the results are looking really good, and they are not expensive, it has manual focus with a live feed so is perfect as a small animation camera, here is a link to a site that has the camerahttp://www.1394store.com/eshop/product.asp?dept%5Fid=55&pf%5Fid=5310 , but i have found it in the uk, i think it was in pcworldbusiness.co.uk, there are lots of reveiws on the net of this great little camera, you will probably find it on the stopmotion pro web site, you could always email them with any questions theyre always a great help;)
