It's the next-best-thing to the Football World Cup for us Europeans....unfortunately none of the British teams managed to qualify for the tournament this year so we're a bit lost as to who we should support!

Hehe, after watching the match of France vs. Romania yesterday, I think Romania did well so I will support them for the rest of it.

I like lots of sports like Football, Basketball (School Team) , Cricket, Athletics, Rugby, Tennis, Water Polo, Hammer Throw, Javelin, I also like Orienteering. I like most Football and Basketball.

I like France but, having said that, the Dutch look like they're in good form at the moment...but will they keep it up throughout the tournament? It's early days...

My team, Republic of Ireland, is not in the Euro 2008 this year - so, no more hiding behind cushions for the time being or shouting at the telly. It's time to relax and enjoy the spectacle. I hope Trappatoni, the new ROI manager, will inject some Italian passion into those Irish feet before the next World Cup!

Speaking of sport, I LOVE the gaelic games like hurling and Gaelic Football. Hurling is a little bit like hockey/lacrosse with attitude and it is not for wimps. Gaelic football allows you to hold the ball as well as kick it - that,too, is not for wimps. The All-Ireland Finals, held in September, have enough electric atmosphere to boil a million kettles.

I also like snooker, tennis, darts and rugby - I can't play them for mintballs but I love watching those who have the skill!

Oooh, Josiphine, Speaking of managers I heard Englands Fabio Capello speaking on Sky Sports yesterday and he said something like, "It will be hard to get England playing like Italian Footballers but its no good if they are good Individuals as they have to play as a team." I really agree there.
