ive started this thread as a few weeks back a member was saying that he was thinking about maybe making a model for his dad for fathers day, i thought it was a lovely idea:)

is anyone else making their dads presents for fathers day?

Ursrut Posted: Jun 13th 2008

To be honest i haven't really thought about it.
It's been a tiny bit dramatic this week and the day i was supposed to get my dad a prezzie it didn't really work out.
I will be making him something from plasticine. Just got to think what now.

cinders1 Posted: Jun 13th 2008

I've got my ideas.
i'm still getting him something else though.

Harry Posted: Jun 13th 2008

I still have got nothing, still got tomorrow though, its my mums birthday tomorrow too and I have not finished the model I am making her, I also have NO money, this is going to be hard, really hard.

My parents just get annoyed about plasticine!:D I've got £5!

Mark the shark Posted: Jun 14th 2008

I don't know. I'm not really a good modelmaker. I think I'm gonna draw him something. ;)

Harry Posted: Jun 14th 2008

very talented well done

Ursrut Posted: Jun 14th 2008

thanks.
Question( i'm not trying to be rude at all at all at all) but are you really aardman staff. ( please don't be offended) by the question)

conty Posted: Jun 15th 2008

i bet your dad will be really pleased with your present ursrut:) my dads having a lie in so ive not given him his present yet:O he loves the outdoors so we got him a year of bushcraft magazines, mum and dad used to be the chairman and treasurer of our local cubs/scouts so its right up my dads street;)

Ursrut Posted: Jun 15th 2008

My dad loved it but not as much as the Garfield thing i gave him ( it was meant to be my sisters but my dad really liked it so i gave it to him early). I also done him a animation fathers day card
My dad had a sort of lie in except my mum wanted him up so he got up.
I hope he likes the things u give him.
so did u used to do cubs then?

conty Posted: Jun 15th 2008

yes i was a good ole cub scout, had to be really as dad was always taking the cubs off on their camps, we had such a laugh on the camps it was brilliant!!!! i was always covered in mud head to foot:D

Ursrut Posted: Jun 15th 2008

no change there then ;) .
didn't do that sort of thing in brownies. it was more lady like (unfortaunly) although with the trousers you could always have got away with a bit of mud.

here is the garfiekld. i'm really happy with the fsce but the body needs a bit more work.

666joshy666 Posted: Jun 15th 2008

WOW!

Ursrut Posted: Jun 15th 2008

thanks :)

squigly Posted: Jun 15th 2008

ursut i like that dog you did for your dad too. i see you like garfield (your avatar).

that "aardman staf" person is not realy aardman...their user name would be in red or green and it would be spelled properly if they were the real aardman staff. i think most people on this forum know that person is not really aardman.

conty Posted: Jun 15th 2008

looking good;)

Ursrut Posted: Jun 15th 2008

Yep i think garfield comics are really quiet funny.

I thought it wasn't aardman staff. And the staf really gave it away.
They don't seem to have answered the question either. hmmm.

squigly Posted: Jun 15th 2008

Did you see the Garfield movie? I haven't seen it but I think Sharkie liked it and used it for his avatar at one point.

Yes that misspelling was a dead giveaway. First noticed that person pop up during one of those arguments - I think it was a game thread.

Ursrut Posted: Jun 15th 2008

yeah saw both of them. thought both of them were quiet good. Sharkie said he'd used garfield as an avatar once as well.

yeah saying that one person would get banned.

Harry Posted: Jun 15th 2008

I didnt think he was a real Aard too as he was saying 'I am new can someone show me around here' with some slight spelling mistakes, its obvious he is trying to trick us.

squigly Posted: Jun 15th 2008

Hi Harry! How's your model coming along?

Harry Posted: Jun 15th 2008

I made my Mum a birthday present yesterday of her fav animal, cant take a pic as the camera is at my dads, I have not seen him yet! and its fathers day... I will be seeing him tonight.

squigly Posted: Jun 15th 2008

it's almost father's day here...in another 9 minutes!!!

what's your mother's favorite animal? did she have a nice birthday?

Mark the shark Posted: Jun 15th 2008
