Harry Posted: Sep 3rd 2008

Very good model plasjas its very cool!

jills Posted: Sep 4th 2008

Like the sound of your new film, mr joe kidd.

I'm only working on a model now (of Lady Totty), as my old idea of the Yorkshire Terrors hasn't sorted yet. Somehow I'm thinking of having them in a dog show with lots of silliness going on, and maybe rehabilitated Preston or Gromit competing, too. It keeps coming to mind but I haven't got anything definite. It's good to see what everyone else is doing.

Chocachoc Posted: Sep 4th 2008

sounds good!!

Ursrut Posted: Sep 4th 2008

jills Posted: Sep 5th 2008

Plasjas, have you begun filming yet and is your dino doing a solo performance?

plasjas Posted: Sep 5th 2008

Not begun filming yet. It is going to be combined with actors running and getting eaten like jurrasic park except with claymation not cgi. Should be good it will go on you tube and are you allowed to put films with actors on this site?

plasjas Posted: Sep 8th 2008

Chocachoc Posted: Sep 8th 2008

plasjas Posted: Sep 20th 2008

hi harry

jills Posted: Sep 20th 2008

lol I can't get broadband out where I am either.

Harry, I have done some work on Gromit. I also bought paints this morning for props and in a couple hours I'll be able to go back to that. How's everything going for you?

plasjas Posted: Sep 20th 2008

surprising.... in America i thought everyone was broadbanding oh well small world

Harry Posted: Sep 20th 2008

Im fine thanks and good that your doing it. I have a feeling your doing a Gromit animation with Gromit doing what he was doing in your drawings. Ok I will be honest and say that I have been saying I have been working on an Aardman animation related model/animation, which I havent started, and that was going to be Gromit in the Kitchen.

plasjas Posted: Sep 20th 2008

i thought jills didn't do animations

jills Posted: Sep 20th 2008

I am the rate exception regarding internet connection, plasjas. Funny part is that if I moved ten minutes away I would be in wireless range. Oh well.

No I don't do animation. I have a program and have taken pics of action but not put anything together. It probably sounded to Harry like I was doing animation because I am making props. Gromit will be in a still scene but he will have some things about him. I'm also putting him in the kitchen, as you've guessed, even though I am tempted to actually make him into Indian Bones running from the cheesewheel like Lucky Ducky 13 said. I hope your project gets going for you- but all the thinking and planning counts for "working" if you ask me ;)

DancingShauny99 Posted: Sep 21st 2008

At the moment, I am working on a story, not animation. I'm also doing a couple of drawings to go with it

jills Posted: Oct 14th 2008

I've started my first big animated project :) It will be quite long, but as I'm not very experienced I'm keeping it simple by animating a short illustrated story by Edward Gorey called The Bug Book. I'll have just one minimalist set but I'll have music and a narrator. I'm in the planning phase now, mixing colours for the bugs, deciding on the scale, making a list of props and thinking how I want to make them etc. I'd been waiting some time before jumping into this, because I wanted to be sure it's a project I really wanted to do, but the idea keeps coming back, so I'm going for it.

Harry Posted: Oct 14th 2008

Cool, Sounds good and fun Jills Good luck, maybe you could do Jack Skellington after!

jills Posted: Oct 14th 2008

Thanks Harry! I'm also working on Jack at the moment, it's just a model, but it's for my brother so I want to get it done soon. I won't be animating that at all, a moving armature for that spindly guy is beyond me ;)

Purple&Brown Posted: Oct 14th 2008

im in the makin of

Harry Posted: Oct 14th 2008

How is he going to stand up Jills?

jills Posted: Oct 14th 2008

Since I don't need his extremities to move in any specific way, I'm going to try twisted wire or more likely thin wood sticks wrapped in cloth tape. I'm going to secure his feet onto a base so he doesn't tip over.

conty Posted: Oct 15th 2008

sounds good jills im looking forward to your animation:)

jills Posted: Oct 15th 2008

Thanks I expect it to be finished... a long time from now :D

conty Posted: Oct 15th 2008

well your half way there!!!! your models and props that youve made are excellent:D

jills Posted: Oct 15th 2008

I've made a list of props for the film, but I won't actually make anything for it until I've finished up the other models. I've made all that other stuff for no reason really. It does sound encouraging to think I'm half way there, however... |-) Enjoy your break tonight!
