Bonjour, mes amis!

I'll be away for my break until the middle of October...by which time, there will be LOADS to catch up on with AMOLAD and lots of stuff to help get me up to speed in time for the "BIG EVENT".

Don't worry! I'll be thinking about and praying for you all - especially the Almighty Aards that all will be well for their 'wrap', the editing, the music, the blaze of publicity etc. that will come with the baggage.

My cuddly will be coming with me, too. He's been packing his hanky for the trip and I told him not to forget his sou' wester as it doesn't half rain up in the Pyrennees.

Yes, indeed! I HAVE packed my socks and my vintage W&G t-shirt!

Nutmeg Blue is in good hands ... she'll be getting postcards and plenty of treats from her mummy when she comes back. Who knows, she might have just as good a time as her mum when I'm away! :D

This is NOT goodbye...but AU REVOIR! See you when I get back.

Take care, everyone!

Ton
Saumon des Yeux Chaussette

squigly Posted: Sep 26th 2008

À bientôt cinders!

PoisonIvy, it's just some elementary French I remember from grade school. Did you study any foreign languages?

jills Posted: Sep 26th 2008

I'm enjoying all this general cat! Oh wait, that's only half French... [chat = cat, eh?] 8) Sorry, that was not what I'd call a good joke either.

katie Aardman Staff Posted: Sep 26th 2008

Au revoir! If Gromit visits any exciting land marks be sure to take some pictures :)

xIzzyx Posted: Sep 26th 2008

DancingShauny99 Posted: Sep 26th 2008

Salut Joesphine!
Je m'appelle DS99.
Will miss you!
How long will you be??
Au revoir!

PoisonIvy Posted: Sep 26th 2008

Well, my homeschooling is... diverse. Sort of I just learn what I want to learn. 'Course my mum was a teacher so she teaches me. I learn Spanish, vaguely.
Ola, amigos! (I can't insert funny characters like upside-down exclamation marks!)
Ah - mi madre no es un caballo. Mi madre es un vaca! (Joke, guys!) Er... un cerdo no es un caballo, hombre estupido! Es usted en cerdo, eh? El cerdo no tiene pelo. El caballo tiene pelo corte...

PoisonIvy Posted: Sep 26th 2008

Adios, Josephine!

PoisonIvy Posted: Sep 26th 2008

Okay just translated all that on Google Translate... either it's a bad translator or my Spanish is bad. But I learnt with Rosetta Stone, so don't blame me if I put 'corte' for short, instead of cut...

PoisonIvy Posted: Sep 26th 2008

Ah, okay... 'corto' is short, 'corte' is cut. Fussy, fussy.

Ursrut Posted: Sep 27th 2008

do you like to argue with yourself.
if i was home schooled i don't think i would learn a language, maybe Afrikaans but otherwise i don't think so.

xIzzyx Posted: Sep 27th 2008

poisonivy, you spelt hola wrong. (it has a silent h)

squigly Posted: Sep 27th 2008

so much for his spanish lessons, eh?|-)

Fish Posted: Sep 27th 2008

À bientôt Saumon des Yeux Chaussette!

I had 5 years of Frenh and that is about all I remember!

squigly Posted: Sep 27th 2008

lol...me too! They gradually introduced French to us in the 5th grade (once a week). It became a required subject from 7th thru 10th.

Comment allez vous, de Poissons? Haven't seen you around here in awhile.:)

Fish Posted: Sep 27th 2008

Squigly! :) I haven't posted much because I was out of town visiting my alma mater. I'd forgotten how it was more like a castle than a school - something like Hogwarts, only the staircases have the good manners to stay in one spot - thank goodness! :D

Then a friend of mine died and I have been gone because of that.:'(

Ursrut Posted: Sep 27th 2008

may that friend Rest In Peace

squigly Posted: Sep 27th 2008

wow, sounds like a nice place to go to school. and old. i would have loved to go to a school like Hogwarts. except, there aren't any castles here. lol! just a palace, and it's small.

sorry to hear about your friend. i just found out a few weeks ago that a friend passed away in June. i've been thinking about it ever since.:-(

plasjas Posted: Sep 27th 2008

cinders1 Posted: Sep 27th 2008

glad your trip went well and the staircases behaved themselves, it sounds like a fantastic building

Fish Posted: Sep 27th 2008

Thanks everyone! My friend was born on a pineapple plantation in Hawaii, and was put in a Japanese internment camp during World War II. She lost relatives when the USA bombed Japan in 1945. With all this trouble you would think she would be bitter, but she was anything but that. We all loved her at our church, and we will miss her terribly. And I will never forget her and her ability to be kind and loving.|-)

squigly Posted: Sep 28th 2008

She sounded like a very nice woman.0:)
