Thanks I was thinking of having Shaun dressed as a werewolf on the little set I made... just 'cause I like Halloween.

Jills thats AMAZING! and I mean it, Well done how long did that fella Take'ta'Make Aand(Aardman) what did you use for the grass? Well done!! Also whats the fur made from?

jills Posted: Oct 10th 2008

P&B it looks like that's going to be a really exciting animation! GREAT models :)

jills Posted: Oct 10th 2008

Cheers Harry I worked on Shaun for two days as I made the old and new version of him. I can see why they use resin for the head- it's very heavy and difficult to hold up in plasticine. The grass is for model trains, and the sheep wool is extra fabric I had, where the were-wolf hair is from a furry boot! :O By the way thanks for the advice a while back on eye beads, I have ordered some now.

Joruus Posted: Oct 11th 2008

jills Posted: Oct 11th 2008

Hello! I am Amazed with your models now Jills! and good set Purple&Brown, plasjas good luck with your set and animation I hope all everyones work goes well!

plasjas Posted: Oct 11th 2008

gracias me amego

jills Posted: Oct 11th 2008

I say, what good cheer. ...Hobby Lobby sell all sorts except textiles, I got more plasticine, wood bits, paint, a fine brush for writing, and some "activ-wire mesh" which claims to be good for armatures as a sculptural and modeling base- it's all in a bendy flat sheet that can be cut so I'm interested to try it out- probably would've been great for Shaun's head.

Harry Posted: Oct 12th 2008

Jills Wire Mesh will be good to keep Shauns Ears in shape. Just cut the size and cover in plasticine.

Purple&Brown Posted: Oct 12th 2008

is hobby lobby like hobbycraft?

xIzzyx Posted: Oct 12th 2008

hobbycraft is soo cool!

jills Posted: Oct 12th 2008

They're quite similar P&B. Harry do they do the same for Gromit's ears?

Harry Posted: Oct 13th 2008

Jills I have seen pictures for Gromits ears in Cracking animation and I think they are wire twisted into the shape of the outside of the ear and they could put some wire mesh for the isnide of the wire.

jordan Posted: Oct 14th 2008

jordan Posted: Oct 14th 2008

thanks, theres 2 W&G ones ready , then im doing a w&g animation soon.

Harry Posted: Oct 14th 2008

I need to get a move on with my animation really. I have 2 coming up, one will take a long time to do and one will be not so long. One is my idea and one is my idea but using Wallace and Gromit. I need to do storyboards for my main one and a few storyboards for the Wallace and Gromit one.

The main one Im hoping is not going to be very long but as I said Im hoping that it will be a good 5mins with lots of detail. If not longer. I will have about 5 sets and my main set will be around the size of half a normal snooker table I want to have storyboarding finished by the end of the month. After that its the Fun Modelmaking time then I will be doing the set then I will be doing the timetaking part, Animating! I think it will be finished by around the middle of next year hopefully earlier.

The Wallace and Gromit one will be around 2mins and will have 1 set. I think that will be fun to animate but REALLY fun to Modelmake as I will not be using normal characters that you have seen. I want that finished by the end of the year!
