Has the Cotm (Creation of the Month) award been chosen yet? If so, I can't seem to view the winners. And, I haven't seen any news about it yet?

mibso, its normally announced aprox a week later, when its announced you will find it on the news page, this month it will probably say 'winners of the month 4' just keep looking out for it, hope that helps

Mibso I read an article on how to win a competition and the number (1) rule is to enter, surprisingly people don’t get this far so if you have entered and have tried your hardest you stand as good a chance as anyone.

i was watching an interveiw last year of a very rich successful man, he said 'the harder i work the luckier i am'..... it struck a chord in me and relised what he said was true
i love sport, so everynight for half an hour for months i went out across the fields and practiced throwing the discus and shot put, it payed off as i was entered at bath university minors competition and won a first in both, then i went back to school and broke a school record that had been held for 25 years!!!! so his saying is true, work hard at something and you will get lucky

i have a story just likes yours conty.

At school for a term a year we do cross- country (roughly 3 miles). Last year i finished 33rd in my year of 120 which i guess was ok. But since june this year i have running over my fields for about 3 mornings a week, and am currently 2nd on the leaderboard.

my current school record for year 8 (13 years old)is 26.35 meters in discus and the shotput was a 4kg weight and i threw it 9 meters

very good for your age. I got 10m something, but im in year 9. However my schools a specialist sports school, so to get a record you need to be some obsessive training freak, and must get 12m or something

Cant remeber my discuss, wasnt too great.

im in year 9 now, and im going to train hard again in the spring at both discus and shotput, but there is 1402 pupils in my school, not sure how many in my year but i think its got to be about 250, but our school has just been rated one of the top in the country by ofsted, so i guess im going to have to be obsessive to achieve it again

Nothing happens at my school, and when I made my Totty, I tried my hardest with limited supplies, and everyone hated it, so that's why I don't really want to post any more of them

dont be silly mibso, your new hutch is way better than your other models, each one you make is getting better, if you give up how are you going to improve?, and not everyone hated them, i didnt, and the not very nice comments that were left were removed so i guess aardman dont think there rubbish either!!!, keep entering but maybe enter only one of your very best each month, and keep modelling i will be looking out for your fab models

Winston Churchill once said, "Never, NEVER, NEVER give up!" How will you know what you're capable of if you do. You could have even better luck submitting the same creation that didn't do as well one month. You never know. I agree with Conty, Mibso don't give up.

Yes, Mibso, I like a lot of your models. You are definitely getting better at it too, and very quickly, so keep going. We like seeing your Creations. ...and I don't think anyone is tired of Conty's entries. You can have a break if you need it as long as you get back to it

I imagine he's pretty busy, indeed! I had no idea Nick actually chose the winners. Hope he gets to take time off for the holidays.

I really want the game for crimbo but can't get it anywere in time. So i hope i win. but i won't be to dissapointed because there is always next month, and i know it will be hard to win because there is a load of fab creations compeating

modelmaker i dont look my age either im 6ft 3!!!! its great though playing rugby!!!, no one belives im in year 9, ive just finished a match and im battered and bruised, they all dive on me to try to stop me from running, but we won 17-0

We have a young guy at work who is 6ft 7" tall, he has 4 inch blocks to raise his bench up to save his back.

tell me about it!! though i do stand tall and not stoop as that looks terrible!! i guess its got its advantages i can buy games etc that have 18 cert naughty, naughty.

mum and dad are doing our spare room up for me as a little studio so i can leave all my stuff out because its driving mum mad in her kitchen, and dad has already said hes going to put my work bench high to save my back,as hes tall too and he does alot of wood carving, so he would like to use the room too so it will suit us both

Cool i know some one who is 6ft 3 too and he is 14 when i am 15 i will be 6ft 1 probaly i am 6ft 8 already and i grow 1 and a 1/2 inches every 3 months so lol. I love rugby too especailly running and taking people down.

I love rugby to. I,m really small the smallest on the team but i play scrumhalf. Iv just got back from a tournament and were now into the semies.

Undefeated this season, and the last one aswell. We even had one school who phoned in advance, asking us to play an easy team against them. We did. But we still won =)
