His is totaly English, from the sweater and bow tie, to the cups of tea, he is a totaly English guy. Can't you tell by his accent?

Yeah,Duh!

VincentAnimations01 Posted: May 11th 2008

He's from Lancashire in the N.W of england

Matt08 Posted: Jun 16th 2008

he's a traditional lancashire lad, he's from my home town of preston :)

That's why there's the reference to "Tom Finney" in the cracking contraptions series. Tom Finney was known as the phantom winger who played for preston north end in the 50's

gromitlove Posted: Jun 20th 2008

Who was Nobby Stiles?

Matt08 Posted: Jun 23rd 2008

according to wikipedia:

"Norbert "Nobby" Peter Stiles MBE (born Collyhurst, Manchester, 18 May 1942) is an English former football midfielder. He was the toothless midfield ballwinner of England's 1966 World Cup winning squad. Stiles, Bobby Charlton and Ian Callaghan are the only Englishmen to have won both World and European Cups."

It also says that he played for preston north end which is probably why he gets a mention:

"Years Club App (Gls)*
1960–1971 Manchester United
1971–1973 Middlesbrough
1973–1975 Preston North End"
