Great news - it was announced this morning that "Wallace & Gromit: A Matter of Loaf and Death" has been nominated in the Short Animation Award Category at this year's Baftas!

"A Matter of Loaf and Death" goes up against "Codswallop", created by Aardman directors Brothers McLeod, and "Varmints" by Sue Goffe and Marc Craste.

I've been scouring my local paper for animation workshops, exhibitions and stuff since I missed W&G's visit to Manchester UK when COTWR was about to hit the screens - albeit without the ANP that time, but there we go.

Please, Katie - please let us know of forthcoming exhibitions in Manchester, Stockport or any part of North West England. Nobody would want to miss out on a chance like that again

i agree sockeye, terry wogan or maybe someone who presents things regularly with some amount of respect from the nation and a mostly clean ( or clean sheet) on the behaviour side of things.

shame terry wogan is not doing the eurovision song contest this year,the votes are all political though.

They blocked the previev of " A Matter Of Loaf and Death " in germany but I could see it on Youtoube ! You tommys still have to learn a lot about germans...

has to be released in the states by december i believe, otherwise it doesn't qualify until next year's oscars.

AugustMilli, the BAFTA (British Academy for Film and Television Arts)is a British award that holds just as much prestige as the Academy Awards in the USA. In Ireland, there is the IFTA (not affiliated as such to the BAFTA) and so on and so forth...
