Animation heroes Wallace and Gromit are getting ready to roll into Sheffield armed with a £10,000 cheque for the children's hospital.

Children and staff will don colourful outfits to greet the famous pair, and cash from the visit next Wednesday May 30 will go towards funding ‘clown doctor’ visits which bring magic, fun and laughter to the hospital.

Each years kids and adults across the country are encouraged to dress in mismatching clothes for a day and donate £1, which goes to the Wallace and Gromit’s Children’s Foundation. The money is then distributed to children’s hospitals across Britain.

Organisers are urging as many people as possible to sign up for this year’s event on June 29. Log on to for details.

Great job Britain, I'd be there and involved if I weren't here in the states. I have too much experience with Children's Hospital's here. It's great to do good and be able to help others when you can. I would encourage all to do the same (donating time, money, anything you can... it feels great and makes us as humans better people)
