WALLACE & GROMIT CHAT » NICK PARK'S BIRTHDAY
Okay so I know a lot of you are going to come on here complaining that his birthday isn't till the 6th December. Your right there.
Well there's a point to this thread.
A few of you may remember me telling you to watch this space on a thread. Well i'm thinking it would be nice if people could write Nick Park a Birthday Message to be put in a book similar to the one he received when he came to a town near me. I'm also thinking that you could possibly mix in a Christmas message ( just to save on mail costs!). I'm going to have to be pretty strict on the deadline if it is to get there in time so i'm going to say the 29th November ( this coming Thursday)
Any one watching this forum- i suggest you don't mention it to Nick. I'd like it to be a surprise or Hi Nick, glad you are enjoying the forum. I strongly suggest you navigate away from here. ![]()
I'm trying to cover all possibilities here ![]()
Happy birthday Nick Park ! Hope you have a cracking birthday and Christmas ! Dont eat to much cheese at Christmas though! Here is a rare collectable present. Its whatever you want it to be ! ![]()
From your No.1 fan Connor ! ![]()
I will be in!
But this coming thursday is the 26th!
Because thats my Birthday...
so we just have to write a message and ursut your going to put it together?
Ok, my message will be in the below post!

Dear, Nick Park
I wish you a happy birthday, I hope you will have a wonderful party.
It's great to be writing to you, I was wondering why you do not come on the wallace and gromit forum?
Anyway I myself am a fellow animator, I wanted to know if it was hard for you at first to make A Grand Day Out, well I don't want to keep this message too long.
- Shaun the Lamb.
Have a great birthday!
ahaa! I've corrected it now ...
oh stl, i believe he is too busy, and i dount he will answer our questions.
Have you researched how long it took him to make AGDO?

Thanks for the messages people. Yes clay fighter it is a bit like that but i would like to get people involved in how it will look sooo... Can you please choose a colour you'd like the text and a font ( that is easy enough to read.)
Shaun the lamb if you don't mind can i keep the question out? it is just that i thought it could be messages as opposed to questions.
Can my font be Comic Sans and be Baby Blue ?
Tank Choo ![]()
Sure can be!

To dearest Nick the ANP - I wish you a very happy birthday filled with blessings and much, much love.
I might not be an animator (yet I'm crazy about animation and I love reading up about its origins and techiques) yet your creations and ideas continue to inspire and enlighten me in my chosen profession. You took time out of your busy schedule years ago to write to me in 1996 and twice since; several years on, those beautiful correspondences remain fresh. Your beloved creations,
&
made my late father laugh like a drain through his illness and disabilities. Your creations do so much good for many millions, more than you'll ever know. Thank you for sharing them with a troubled, weary world that needs a laugh. Thank you for treating us like friends.
These 20 years have passed like lightning and here's to another 20 years and future generations of
&
fans...
Your patron, Saint Nicholas, was just as generous and benevolent to all who encountered him. It's no co-incidence you were named Nicholas...

A very heartfelt thank you once again for a fantastic opportunity, Ursrut - my other old pal - on this, our beloved website. All the best for your mock Art exam! ![]()
I would like mine in cooper black and the couler blue please ![]()
Dear Nick,
I hope you have a really great birthday and
make sure you have the best time EVER!!!!
You are my favourite animator and I love
all your creations!!!
from one of your biggest fans,
Shauna (shaunzie)
May i have comic sands red or a nice easy to read colour?
Right you may clay fighter.
Sockeye thank you for that! I finnished my final piece completely today, that is when disaster struck for me. My teacher started taking the piece out of the sketch book it ripped down the middle :/. I took it very well according to her and others who saw it- i sat there just laughing
. I just hope i get extra marks for that
. It is alright now though.
Am i right in thinking that this is the address people send things to Nick Park:
Nick Park
c/o Aardman Animations Ltd
Gas Ferry Road
Bristol BS1 6UN
Ursrut, my other old pal, you have fortitude in spades
Others would have not taken it so well. I hope you get the outstanding marks you deserve for all your hard work.
I think the Almighty Aards have only moved up the road to their fandabidozilicious new building, so the address and postcode, by all accounts, should be the same as heretofore.
May I share a useful tip with you, dear Ursrut? For an extra few pence, you could ask the Post Office for Special Delivery to guarantee the Birthday Book to arrive before 1pm on December 6th. I do this for important stuff from time to time and it works a treat. Keep the receipt and other stuff they give you because you can even track its progress online to reassure yourself that it arrived there safely. With all the thought, effort and love you put in (and, as this time, you won't be able to hand it to the great man himself on the day), it's a relief when you know that it has arrived there safely. ![]()
Dear Nick Park,
Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas!!! You are an inspiration to me and other budding animators everywhere.
