Mmasonghi... Is that a typo, where is says 9 minutes shot in 8 days?.... because that sounds completely impossible with stopmotion?
no its 3 years of work with 8 days worth of animation also 2D animation
So the overall time is 8 days, as in 8x24hours?
Hmm not sure if I understand, I mean i get like 30 seconds in 9 days.
@Ian I'm home schooled so i have a lot of time on my hands
I could be wrong
@GLB It's more like 8x7hours
my guesstimate for the hole short film is about 15 minutes
doing some 2D Animation
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zrXVAdduo4
it's part of a 25 part series
Alright this is going to sound kind of blunt.
What frame rate are you working on????? That would have to be like 2 frames a second!!!
There is no possible way that your animation could be smooth, if you have 9 minutes worth of animation, you would have to be getting over a minute a day. In the world of animation that is physically impossible, unless it is horribly jumpy, and you are working on like... one frame per second.
If you don't mind me asking, about what age are you.
I want to just give you some advice...... S....l...o...w..........d....o....w.....n
don't rush.... and don't worry about how much you get done.... Aardman gets 3 seconds A DAY!!!!! I get about 7 seconds a day in the summer.
Oh, and some more advice.... I would start short.... very... very... short.... I am going to be honest... no one wants to watch a 15 minute amateur film.
Just some advice.
Ian i am working on 24 fps and i am getting a minute a day
check this out to see my animation
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J2msqmu9Ms8
and i use a lot rotoscope ![]()
you are getting 1,440 frames a day?............... That sounds impossible. How could the animation possibly be smooth??? If you are getting that much done, there is no way you are taking enough time.
i'm prob not taking enough time
but trust me know what i am doing
P.S.
i could be wrong (its just an guesstimate nothing to get worked up over)
I just am not sure how you could even possibly be getting 1,440 frames in, say, 8 hours. That is 180 frames an hour, and you probably take some breaks. so it's probably more like 240 frames an hour, thats 4 frames.... every minute. it just doesn't seem possible.
As I said before it's just an guesstimate and i added some 30 second music montages in there where I added the same shot over and over to fill time ![]()
That's how I came to be about 9 minutes ![]()
New video up on my channel

another new video up

I agree with Ian, the animation I have done isn't as smooth as it could be and I get no where near that much done a day!
working on animation yesterday two seconds done in 3 hours ![]()
THAT'S MORE LIKE IT! ![]()
