Does anyone know of a way to smooth newplast plasticine other than running your thumb ascross it. I want to make this model I'm making super smooth.

Any suggestions would be great,

thanks,
P&B

Umm just get you thumb under some water and smooth it down. that's at least what i done.

Now my method may sound weird but it works a charm. If you get a piece of kitchen roll and fold it into quarters, put it over the top of a bottle of olive or sunflower oil and tip it upside down so you get some oil on to the kitchen roll. Then if you just dab it on the model it should become much easier to smooth out but watch out because it will put the colour of the plasticine onto you fingers or thumbs and that can either stain other plasticine or your clothes etc.

Kind regards,

Thanks for all the comments, I'll try both ways on a sample bit of plasticine. ;)

a round tool can sometimes make a model smooth if you rool over very gently, yet makes outher areas rough, using it accordance with water and your finger, results can be good
