LATEST NEWS » WALLACE & GROMIT GET COMIC STRIP IN THE SUN!

Titan Comics and Aardman Animations have teamed up with The Sun newspaper to produce a daily Wallace & Gromit comic strip!
From May 17th, the inventive duo will feature in their very own daily comic strip in the newspaper, with each adventure running for 6 days, from Monday – Saturday. The comic strip comes after the success of Titan and Aardman’s Wallace & Gromit iphone comic, which was brought out to celebrate 20 years of the famous pair.
Don't miss the start of the first adventure, out on May 17th and let us know what you think!
cool,cool,cool,awesome,awesome,awesome![]()
EDIT:didnt know that it looked like I was a cheer-
leader
well then, I'll just have to buy the sun then. Unless the cartoons will be published on the sun's website...
My mother had just told me it's against her principles to buy the sun... Will the cartoons be published online?
Will there be wallace and gromit comic strips in any other newspapers
Hi Fionah - they're just in The Sun for now. You can can also get other free adventures for your iPhone/iPod Touch by visiting the iTunes app store: http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/wallace-gromit-2-1-washday/id366819840?mt=8
That sounds great but I don't live in the UK, is there any way for me to see these cartoons?
absoloutley brilliant i get the sun daily and i will make sure i will never ever miss a copy, also when are wallace and gromit making a new film.![]()
Sammy the lamb, it is also against my principles to buy The Sun. ![]()
Will we in the USA be able to read these comics somehow?
Seriously?
The Sun?
I'm, sorry, but this is INCREDIBLY irresponsible of you, Aardman. But, little kids are going to want to buy these and then have to come across CERTAIN content in The Sun, (ie Illegal Immigrants are causing the economic recession, All the stuff to do with benfits and only brits should be on Britain and - worst of all - Page 3 content!) Then, they'll pick up on these. ![]()
Can the comics also be published on this website?
It's only that I resent the Sun (Can you tell?) But, I'd REALLY like to read these. Can they be published on this website (maybe the Sun website too, but I'm not sure about going on there in case there is more pornography.)
The sun isn't a very good newspaper ( if you can call it that maybe a very sensationalist tabloid and nothing more), so I'm just going to see it in the end ![]()
will it be on the sun in Ireland?![]()
The SUN reports on nothing but pathetic unimportant sport and celeb crises that only shallow air headed baffoons would buy. It's a shame they are associated with it. Why not get in The Times or Independent or Guardian.
Still they should be funny
I've just read it.
It's not that funny.
Not worth buying a newspaper you don't normally buy for...
Whats wrong with The Sun? ![]()
I mean sure page 3 but little kids would just laugh, my little sister does.
Im going to cut out all the comic's and put them in a notebook. ![]()
Look out Garfield! Wallace and Gromit are coming to town!![]()

Concon- If you look at the sun in great detail and analyse it as i've had to for my media exam, you'll find the Sun although one of the most circulated papers is actually a newspaper that doesn't have much to it. It keeps the news simple and has a main focus on gossip, celebrities and sport and when news is reported the writers view point is generally very sensationalist to a point. Overall a newspaper for people who don't want to buy the Star.
True, but who cares much about the real news anyway? Well, except adults. :P
Cocon - Most people care about the real news. You CANNOT seriously say that you do not care about the hung-parliament or the Haitian Earthquake. Surely?
No I don't. I mean the Haiti thing is sad and that but I mean who cares about parliment. Im 1*, I don't give a dam about parliment.
I think the Sun is an unsuitable newspaper for small children and is very bad. I like the cartoon strips though they should be in a BETTER more suitable paper such as the Mail, Express or Times.![]()
Well you shouldn't just presume that we don't care. We may care very much for all you know. It's better than being shallow goons who 'love' to read hyperbolic stories over pathetic unimportant things.
You can't blame me, Im a otaku emo. That should explain alot. ![]()
Agreed, put Wallace and Gromit in the Sun might incourage kids to fine out about the extremely dull antics of Kate Price and all those chavvy people nobody cares about and worst of all page 3. The day Harry Patch, the final british soldier alive from WWI,died, what was on the front cover of the Scum...I mean Sun? Katie Fricking Price.
For those who 'don't care' about the current UK Parliament, you will when the cuts start to bite into resources for schools, services and other things we take for granted. True, no matter which party takes the poisoned chalice of government, especially in today's climate, radical decisions have to be made.
You know, going back to the W&G cartoon, The Sun was NEVER EVER allowed into the house for many different reasons. I started reading newspapers at the age of 5 (The Irish Press, The Universe, The Irish Post etc.), my dad's blushes were spared - there are different other reasons I won't go into because of the age of readership on our beloved website. I also agree with the alternatives such as the Mail, Express and Times - at least The Sunday Times has The Funday Times for the younger newspaper reader. The front page coverage in The Sun of such an important national hero as Katie F Price (that's me being sarcastic) instead of Harry Patch was nothing short of disgraceful but, sadly, not surprising.
To be fair to Queen Katie Reid nee Price, she hasn't been in it for a while.
Anyway back on topic, how long will the comics be on for? Cause I can't see them going on for the next 40 years. ![]()
Gosh you worship 'celebs'
GLB, I, for one, don't 'woship' celebs. I've encountered many genuine 'stars' in my time and they are real human beings who have worked their proverbial butt off for their respective crafts, earning the right to be respected and recognised without getting shirty about it.
Believe me, so-called 'celebs' are not worth the steam off my potty. For example, real stars ask you politely where the toilets are;celebs demand to know where the 'bogs' are or they throw a strop...
I was talking bout concon
@GLB - Most kids do. :P
everyone be nice![]()
I agree with SockEyeSalmon and GLB.
cool! i never get The Sun but i will now (if this wallace and gromit thing is stilll in it)![]()
Has anyone been keeping these? I have them all except number 32 is missing...Can anyone who has been keeping them PLEASE scan me a copy.
Just to let you know these comics are now available as a digital download! Visit Zinio.com for more info ![]()
