WALLACE & GROMIT CHAT » FOOD WORLD IS BACK!
Yeah, that's right! I'm going to need to do some basic animations like Food World before I can move on the Sector 43. I'm going to improve everything on Food World ( I hope so anyway..)
I'll keep you posted from this thread.
YAAAAAAAAAY!
Will I still be voicing Mr. and Mrs. Meatball?
Yes!
Behold.. MISTER CABBAGE REBORN!
whoooooooooooooooooooo getting into animation as we speak will probably be making a fourm on it
Huh? Sorry I didn't understand that last part.
I wont be animating until everything is ready. (Wont take too long don't worry!)
Everyone's so excited about this!

Well i am ![]()
Compost actualy has no cosmetic value!
Well, Mrs. Apple thinks so anyway.
Cool I like it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I remember when you first started this
Love Mr.cabbage

Thanks!
I don't think I'm going to bother coming on this forum anymore. Every single last thread I've ever made here sunk within a day.

This is turning out awesome! The people seem to be all vegetables though, make like a Bernie Burger or something ![]()
Ermm....
Its in a vegetable patch.. i dont think there would be a burger...
BUT YOUR WRONG HARRYBOY8080!!
Mr. and Mrs. Meatball arent vegetables!
AH HA! I just thought it was kind of like Green Roots, but you had no idea about Green Roots. Which honestly, would make a lot of sense if two people had that same idea because it is AWESOME! ![]()
Well...There are 4 secret charectors planned.
2 of which are meat and live in the fridge with the Meatballs!
AWESOME! How long do you intend on it being (until it is out and how long the movie will be)? ![]()
Should be 4 weeks before it's done. And it will be done in episodes. Each episode will be 5:00Minutes long.
Maybe there will be a movie later on!
Nothing too exciting. I did a basic animation test. It's all good. I now know to animate in 12 FPS.
Here's the test.
Yes I'm aware the audio is slightly out of sync.
I would not get your hopes up on 4 weeks for a five minute episode... unless you are shooting something like 2 FPS then It will probably take longer than 4 weeks... but maybe I am just slow... ![]()
by the way what frame rate are you going to be shooting at?
Great animation Shaun the Lamb- I can't wait to see more!
Cool Shaun! Speak up a little though,
, and do what iantimothy said. What frame rate do you use? Lots of people say to start at 15 and work up to 24 fps, but I started at 30 and worked down to 24. If you have stopmotionpro, keep using that (i use it), or use monkeyjam instead of windows media player.
Here is where you can download monkeyjam if you need it.

Here's a tip from me:
If you can't make 24 fps animations smooth, make very tiny movements with your characters and use 30 or 35 fps. ![]()
It looks awesome though!
I can't wait!
I wouldn't suggest doing 30 or 35, it is more moves per second and takes a lot longer... I would say start and 24, and work your way to get to 12 (which is harder to make look smooth) then work at combining them for a great combination.
He is using 12 FPS ! ![]()
HAHA!
Great animation!
Maybe try and have a lamp or somethign near by, to up the lighting, but besides that, awesome!
I animate at 12 FPS (which is what I did in the test). And the program I use is Win. Movie Maker (very profesional, right?)
Thanks everyone for the kind comments and advice!
haha,
Sometimes i have to use WMM Because my camera doesnt connect into the pc and stay on so if my webcamera isnt working i have to use my normal camera and upload the pics...
I need a firewire cable...
I started with 12.5fps a few years ago, then 15 and now 24fps. Its best to work yourself up rather than going straight into 24fps, if rushed, the film at 24fps will be a quick 'blur' of animation! Its best to start on a lower fps to get used to the animation principles and helps you to see how to manoeuvre your characters. It may not be as smooth as 24fps but it'll probably look a whole lot better even though its jumpier.
Thank you for the tip VincentAnimations!
Here's a LipSync test
"I'm an Apple"
And a little stress test for Mr. Apple
#Can you break it down like an Apple can? Can you break it down with da Apple man? Ohhhhhhh, it's the Apple Jam!#
HAHAHA!
Awesome!
I love the dance moves!
Thanks! I tried out other moves but those were the funniest.
I feel like I'm skipping something.
Most animations 5 minutes long take a few months to make (Beaver Creek, Green Roots, Ducky Town ect ect) But I seem to be able to finish it in 4 weeks.
Could some one let me know if I've skipped anything:
1. Write script
2. Storyboard
3. Colsult people for ideas
4. Make charectors (80%done)
5. Make set (99.9%done)
6. Get lighting
7. Run tests
8. Detect Faults
9. Fix Faults
10. Design props
11. Make props
12. Animate (not done)
Have I left anything important out?
Em not from what I can see. I have an animation book called Cracking Animation by peter lord and David Spraxton and you seem to have evrything okay. The only thing I would have down as well is editing !!!!!!! ![]()
p.s really looking forwardto this film ![]()
Ooh! Peter Lord! =D
Thanks for the comment. Food World should be done in two weeks and counting!
