Nick Park has selected Wallace & Gromit’s top three Cracking Ideas from a mind blowing 8,994 innovative competition entries.

Oscar® winner Nick Park has chosen Aurora Carter’s ‘Baddy Catcher’, Finn Collinson’s ‘Alarming Results’ and Elliot Cooke’s ‘Con-Cone Company’ as Wallace & Gromit’s next business in the national Cracking Ideas competition. The winning trio’s entries featured innovative and enterprising concepts for which cracking venture Wallace & Gromit should next turn their hand to, each winning idea captured the essence of the duo’s mad-cap inventiveness with consideration to how this creativity could be protected by intellectual property rights.
Aurora came top in the 4 – 7 age group, Finn in the 8 – 11 category and Elliot was triumphant in the 12 – 16s. The 3 victors found out they were the UK’s overall Cracking Ideas winners when announced by Minister for Intellectual Property Baroness Wilcox in a ceremony held at LEGOLAND®, Winsdor.
The annual Cracking Ideas award ceremony was enjoyed by guests from the world of innovation and enterprise and particularly by the regional winners from Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales and England: Rory Doherty, Grace Graham, Elixabete Riley, Gavin McCafferty, Ray Vandyck, Naomi Jones and Ethan Cardus*. The Cracking Ideas champions were joined in their celebration and given help with collecting their prizes by familiar characters - Wallace & Gromit- up to their usual antics as always! Everyone then enjoyed a fun packed afternoon in LEGOLAND®. All in all it was a cracking day for everyone concerned!
