Hi i orderd the blue one on friday and it still hasn't come They said it was supposed to be hear yesterday so hopefully i will get it tomorow. i am looking forward to reading it.

my yellow copy the ink has started to come out onto the other pages! no wonder its printed in singapore!

I do have it (the blue one) it's absoutley fantastic! I love it! My friend and me were sent the yellow one by Aardman, (see "I have Sent Nick Park a letter" thread) but he has it. And it's the one that isn't Leopard out of us Three Musketeers.

Hi, jodyblue1 - good to have you back! Cracking Animation is a brilliant book about - well - animation! It's written by Peter Lord (one of the Aardman gods) and Brian Sibley (a genius/expert/guru when it comes to writing books about animation and C S Lewis).

It comes in a yellow cover (old) and a blue cover (updated).

The title is Cracking Animation.

Hey, guess what...I had ordered Creating 3-D Animation: The Aardman Book of Filmmaking back in January (17th, actually) and it just arrived yesterday February 8th. Little did I realize until I just did some Google searching that the book I got is the American version of Cracking Animation! It says it's the revised edition with an additional 32 new pages and has a blue cover. It think it's the same book -- just a different title.

The publisher is Harry N Abrams, Inc. and the ISBN number is 0-8109-4971-7 (hardcover).

I found a copy for US$12.25 plus $3.99 shipping on Amazon. It has a remainder mark, whatever that is. But the only odd thing I notice about it is a big black dot on the top edge near the binding. Hardly noticeable. Shipping stretched on to the max (over 3 weeks?) but I'm glad it's finally here!

and on the front of the book it Sais Cracking animation In yellow writing and has a picture of Angry kid ready to fire at someone and has morph doing a kartwheel and a picture of wallace and gromit.

In you book does it tell you how to make a Sheep and Gromit?

I think it's the same book. For some reason they released it under a different title in the US. Here's a picture of the book jacket. It's almost the same as my book except on mine "Revised Edition" is in bigger yellow letters, and the writers names (Peter Lord and Brian Sibley) along with "Forward by Nick Park" appear just to the left of the Angry Kid.

No. Blue is updated and has CGI info where as the yellow doesn't.
