I my opinion sony are very good for home use => SONY W55 Cyber-Shot Digital Camera Package. They has good makro, colors and are simply in use, but that only my opinion ;).

hi harry, have a look on www.stopmotionanimation.com it is very helpfull with information on what camera and software to buy, maybe not a camera but web cam as they are less expensive and do a great job, check out the site its very helpful, goodluck!!! conor
