Yes, tornados....many, many, MANY of them. Just one is too many if you ask me!
It's very good weather here. I cannae understand why there would be so many tornados! 
I don't know why we have had such bad weather, either, Sharkie. I just know it has been one awful storm after another. I'm glad it's nice where you are, though!

Believe it or not there are more tornados tonight - not headed for us, but 20 miles away. We have a severe storm warning going right now for where we are. Ralphie is very nervous, so I expect we will end up with some sort of nasty storm. But it can't follow me here for our swim, so....

Conty, I am alive and well - though last night was a complete horror! Tornados touched down all around us. They kept coming for over 4 hours! What's worse is that a Boy Scout Camp an hour out of town was hit directly by a tornado and 4 scouts were killed!! Three of the four come from the town in which I live - the fourth lived in western Iowa.The streets here were flooded - the news had pictures of people wading through water up to their knees or higher trying to get to their cars. What a mess!

im sorry to hear that fish, thats terrible those poor families but why were they not pulled out if you had advance warnings, seems a bit crazy that the authorities let them carry on doing a camp knowing the weather conditions i will say a prayer for those poor boys and their families
No - the authorities only had 12 minutes of advance warning. The scouts were already out in the wilderness and could not be reached in time. Even so, the scouts tried to take cover....but really, there was none. And every building in the camp was destroyed. So even if they had come back out the wilderness, they would not have been safe in those buildings. The scouts are going to have to take measures to be sure nothing like this happens again.
I read the news today, fish, and was wondering if that tornedo was the same one you were scurrying away from last night. Real sorry to hear about those scouts from your hometown. I read that the tornedo destroyed 1800 acres at that scout camp. Conty, I don't think the scouts would have been able to escape in time. It might have been worse if they were all in transit. Keep safe, fish, as I hear there are more storms lurking.

p.p.s., fish, stsultimatefan is not from your parts. I read on another thread he goes to the same school as W&GFan21 (in the UK). Sounds suspiciously like another classmate who liked to pretend.
your storm and the news about the scouts made our news here in the uk it must of been really bad fish, im pleased your safe and well
Squigly, Conty, and Cinders - thanks for your concern! I am a bit surprised the news went as far as the UK! Squigly, the National Weather Service report states we actually dodged 7 tornados Wednesday night! Our relatives on the west end of town had damaged vehicles - dents from hail and a smashed windshield. But we are glad to report no one was injured!
Meanwhile, Ralphie refuses to leave my side....I think he is tired of the storms, too!!
