squigly Posted: Jun 20th 2008

hehe...I think gromitlove was chuckling about your "clan of tuna" (as in can of tuna) I had a good chuckle myself!|-)

Mark the shark Posted: Jun 20th 2008

Well, I'm known to be a cool wisecracker where I live. ;)

Mark the shark Posted: Jun 20th 2008

And a natural singer for some reason too. :D

gromitlove Posted: Jun 20th 2008

Isn't wahoo a fish too?

Fish Posted: Jun 20th 2008

I think so, gromitlove. We have a town not far from here called Wahoo and I think it is named after that fish.

Ursrut Posted: Jun 21st 2008

Mark the shark Posted: Jun 21st 2008

Thanks Harry! ;) Ursrut, it just emotionally comes to me. Almost like Disney characters who burst into song the first chance possible! :D

Fish Posted: Jun 21st 2008

WOW! I love that video and story, Harry!|-)

Ursrut Posted: Jun 21st 2008

Aww.. that lion reminds me of how a dog (called candice, bull terrier) would greet you when he saw you.
That lion must have been so happy to see them.
It was good of the owners to make that choice about letting him go to africa otherwise who knows what would have happened.

Chocachoc Posted: Jun 21st 2008

Fish Posted: Jul 2nd 2008

I wonder where Sock Eye is. She seems to stay away longer each time -and visit with us for shorter periods of time. Miss her

squigly Posted: Jul 3rd 2008

She hasn't taken off for France yet has she? i forget when she said shewas going but for some reason i get the feeling it was towards the end of summer.:-(

Mark the shark Posted: Jul 4th 2008

I know, poor us. I thought she was going to France at the end of the October week? :O

Fish Posted: Jul 7th 2008

Come back Sock Eye!:'(

squigly Posted: Jul 8th 2008

we would be chuffed to mintballs!!!!

cinders1 Posted: Jul 9th 2008

squigly ive just seen on our local news that a volcano has erupted in your part of the world!!! so i guess youve got the vog back:O hope alls well;)

black Posted: Jul 9th 2008

im tired of sound fx.

Fish Posted: Jul 9th 2008

Black! :O You're BACK!!!! :D

squigly Posted: Jul 10th 2008

cinders, really? lol, i've been out of it since i haven't been watching the news. actually, i think that volcano has been erupting constantly since January 3, 1983. it's just that every so often it has some gaseous explosions that sends noxious fumes into the air. fortunately for me, the erupting volcano is on another island and the wind has not blown the vog in this direction since May. Yay! But thanks for thinking about me.:)

conty Posted: Jul 10th 2008

i seen the pics lava was spilling out:O

squigly Posted: Jul 11th 2008

that lava is amazing. the type of lava flows that we have here are mostly rivers of red hot lava, especially when going downslope. in flatter areas, the lava moves like mollasses and builds a thin black crust as the top layers cool. every so often there are fountains of lava shooting in the air but we rarely see those. it is really neat to watch film footage of it.

Mark the shark Posted: Jul 11th 2008

I seen the lava as well. Amazing, man! Cinders, did you see it on BBC? I was in Berlin and saw it on BBC world. ;)

cinders1 Posted: Jul 11th 2008

yes i seen it, i think it was on BBC but i cant be sure, half the time ive got the tv on for company otherwise the house is too quiet when the boys are at school;)

Fish Posted: Jul 11th 2008

I saw a special about volcanos and the structure of the earth last night. WOW!:O

Evidently Sock Eye was here the other day, but didn't drop in here. So I missed her yet again. :-(

Fish Posted: Jul 11th 2008

And again three hours ago! I'm giving up!

squigly Posted: Jul 12th 2008

NOOOOOOooooooooo.......she swims in and deposits a few tidbits on the Conty's News or the 20 years of W&G threads. Maybe you'll catch her there!:-(

Mark the shark Posted: Jul 12th 2008

Why, why does she not come on at the same time? :'(

Fish Posted: Jul 12th 2008

I have no clue, Sharkie. She used to be here a lot - and talk with us almost every day. *sigh*

purple and brown Posted: Jul 12th 2008

squigly Posted: Jul 12th 2008

Hi Sharkie, Fish, P&B!!

I read that the National Geographic Channel will be showing the biography of Earth, a 3-part, 5-hour series, starting today. The first hour is supposed to be on volcanos. The second hour is about ice. Apparently the force of the two influenced the shaping of Earth, its temperature and chemicals. Sharkie, a Scotish geologist named Iain Stewart leads the program. I will try to catch it later today (Saturday for me).

Fish Posted: Jul 12th 2008

I think that is what I saw = the segment on volcanos! It's quite amazing!
