Hi Fantastic news! My two year old is a huge fan of all things wallace and gromit and happily giggles his way through Shaun the Sheep. He even has Wallace's cheese wave!! He soesn't say much but gromit shaun and cheese.
I saw that, too, Gags! Trouble At 'Mill was/is, by the looks of things, a working title.
Working titles can either be chopped and changed secretly by the author/film maker or it sticks.
I think the title "A Matter of Loaf and Death" sounds like something from Diagnosis Murder or Miss Marple etc. ...it might help add authenticity to the intention of making the latest & short a real murder mystery.
Maybe they're having trouble getting the rights to use "Trouble at' Mill" because there's a Lancashire and Irish Folk Song band by that name. Here's a pic of the band with a Nick Park drawing and signature:
If they change the name of the movie, I'll have to re-do my DVD label!!
Yes, that's the name of the band. Wonder if sock-eye's heard of them since she enjoys Irish Folk Songs?
There's another band called "Trouble at t'Mill" which I think refers to the same saying but a different way of saying it. This other band is comprised of younger musicians and plays more youthful songs - I think they cater to the 16-25 crowd.
Squigly - I must see if they have anything about them on YouTube or a website of their own and investigate. That is a really COOL picture of the band with a drawing by The Almighty Nick P behind them. Thanks for the info, squigly! Nite nite, I'll have to get my head down..I've just seen the clock and it's almost 0310am UK time...there's a long night ahead tomorrow...
Just noticed at the beginning of this thread that there's a contest to win tickets to the showing of this film! Has that been there all along? I must enter!
