There Is A Chicken Run Book Called ''Hatching The Movie'' And It Shows Facts,Pictures and Sketches Of Aardman Making The Chicken Run Movie As I Was Flicking Through The Book In A Little Book Shop It Seems Good For Good Aardman Collectors Or Just Any Animation Fan.
Yep, a cracking book indeed. I can't believe that it has been 7 years since I first saw Chicken Run at the cinema! I love reading about how animated movies are made - particularly stop-motion and ink - when CGI is done well, it is brilliant. When it isn't, it's soul-less and yukky
There are other books about the making of and published by BBC Books that I treasure, too, about the making of The Wrong Trousers and A Close Shave - shame there wasn't one about A Grand Day Out but I've managed to get a couple of books with fleeting references to how Nick P managed & 's first outing. Budding animators should read them.
