CBBC favourite Blue Peter has launched a new animation competition, offering budding animators the chance to create their own prehistoric creature inspired by Nick Park's forthcoming film Early Man!
Creative fans can come up with a character idea which will then be brought to life by an Aardman model maker and presented to the lucky winner as a unique and very special prize. The winner will also enjoy a tour of the Aardman studios AND receive an invite to the star-studded film premiere.
- You can find full details about the competition and how to enter at the Blue Peter website.
- Participants must send in an A4 drawing of their design to the competition address, including a paragraph that describes their creation.
- There are three age categories: 6-8, 9-11 and 12-15 years. A top entry from each category will be selected before an overall winner is chosen.
- Two runners up will also receive tickets to the premiere of Early Man.
Nick Park (the proud owner of Gold Blue Peter badge) said: “With animation you can make anything come to life, so get involved in this amazing competition and see where your imagination takes you.”
Blue Peter will announce the winner of the competition in January. Good luck!
