Wallace & Gromit's pal Shaun the Sheep was spotted arriving into Central London yesterday morning…on a tractor!
This baahmy event celebrates the Shaun in the City arts trail coming to London THIS SATURDAY! 50 giant Shauns will be dotted around London from Saturday 28th March until Monday 25th May to form a special arts trail.
Locations include some of the most famous London landmarks including Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square, St Paul’s Cathedral, the Shard and the Tower of London! A map will be made available to download from the Shaun in the City website tomorrow, along with a fantastic interactive app which will help to locate and tick off your flock!
Creator of Shaun the Sheep, Nick Park CBE said: “It’s been a busy year for Shaun, he has just launched his first movie and now he has his very own arts trail! Shaun is such a well-loved character with so many fans around the globe, I am sure many will flock to London to be part of the fun.”
Can’t make it to London? A trail of 70 extra Shaun in the City sculptures will be coming to Bristol in June, followed by exhibitions of the whole collection later in the year. Look out for more details on the Shaun in the City website.
The aim of both trails is to raise money for children in hospitals around the UK. The sculptures, which have been designed by high profile artists, designers and celebrities including David Gandy, Zandra Rhodes and Cath Kidston, will be auctioned later this year for Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Charity.
