Gromit features in a new exhibition at Oxford's Story Museum this Spring and features a brilliant interview with creative director Merlin Crossingham in which he discusses Gromit and the other animal characters from the world of Aardman Animations!
Having spent a big chunk of his career working alongside Wallace's canine companion, Merlin has some interesting stories to tell about one of animation's best-loved characters.
Find out about the inspiration for Gromit in the video, and how he come into being, as well as hearing Merlin explain why he thinks Gromit remains such an endearingly popular character. He also answers the much asked question "How much is Gromit human and how much is he dog?"
The exhibition - 'Animals - a safari through stories' - opens on the 13th February and features 12 immersive spaces exploring animals in storytelling. There are also various events taking place during the exhibition, including a Gromit making workshop with Aardman model makers on 19th March - book your tickets here!
