Hong Kong Gromits Come To Bristol!

Look who's back in town! From 1st February to 10th April, Gromit returns to Bristol for a very special exhibition, when 16 sculptures from the Hong Kong Trail will be displayed at the Gromit Unleashed shop at The Mall, Cribbs Causesway!

While you'll remember Gromit's Bristol takeover back in 2013, you may not know that the Gromit Unleashed phenomenon went global in 2014, when 70 unique Gromits - designed by big names from the worlds of art, fashion, animation and music - arrived in Hong Kong. Now, 16 sculptures from the collection are coming to Bristol, with many on show in the UK for the very first time! From designs by home-grown talents including Wallace & Gromit creator Nick Park, Creative Director of Wallace & Gromit Merlin Crossingham, and fellow Aardman designers Gavin Strange and Ashley Boddy, to weird and wonderful sculptures from international artists, this is a chance to feast your eyes on some truly beautiful Gromit sculptures and relive the excitement of the 2012 trail.

The exhibition will be opened by Gavin Strange and Ashley Boddy, designers of the stunning GRMT02 and Year of the Gromit sculptures. Visitors to the grand unveiling - which kicks off at 9.30am on 1st February - will be able to chat to the two designers as well as pick up a souvenir figurine.

The exhibition runs from 1st February to 10th April at The Mall at Cribbs Causeway, Bristol. Opening times are 9.30am to 9pm Monday to Friday, 9am to 9pm on Saturday and 10.30am to 5pm on Sunday.

It is free to enter, with a suggested £2 entry donation welcome to The Grand Appeal, the Bristol Children’s Hospital charity.
